HCL VersionVault Explorer preferences

Use the HCL VersionVault Explorer preference page to specify settings for VersionVault decorations and incompatible encoding warnings.

Controls in the dialog box

The following controls are displayed in the HCL VersionVault Explorer preferences page.

Column name Displays
VersionVault decorations Click to specify the style of VersionVault decorations that you prefer. These decorations provide a visual indication of the VersionVault state of a resource. You can select icon decorations, text decorations, or both. For more information about these decorations and what they mean, see VersionVault label decorations and resource states. Note that in the Eclipse environment, VersionVault decorations can be disabled. For more information, see Enabling resource decorations.
Set default to not display incompatible encoding warnings on non-English clients Any VersionVault server to which you connect must use a character set encoding that is compatible with the character set encoding for which your client host is configured. If a client and server use incompatible character set encodings, many VersionVault operations may fail. When you run the HCL VersionVault Explorer on a computer that is configured to use a language other than US English, the WAN dialog box warns you about this each time you connect to a VersionVault server. Click this option to suppress these warnings.
Restore Defaults Click to restore the default settings to the HCL VersionVault Explorer preference page.
Apply Click to apply any changes you have specified while leaving open the Preferences window.
OK Confirms the operation and closes the window.
Cancel Cancels the operation.
