VersionVault Search

The VersionVault Search dialog box allows you to search local VersionVault views for resources in various states.

Use the VersionVault Search dialog box to search local VersionVault views for resources in a various VersionVault states (checked-out, hijacked, or view-private).

Select or clear the check boxes in the Search For area of the dialog box to specify the VersionVault state of the files you want to find.

  • Select Checked out resource to find checked out elements.
  • Select Hijacked resources to find hijacked elements.
  • Select View-private resources to find view-private files or directories (files or directories that have not been added to VersionVault).

You may select any or all of the check boxes.

You can also use the radio buttons in the Scope area of the dialog box to restrict or enlarge the scope of the search. When accessed from the VersionVault perspective, the VersionVault Search dialog box allows you to select from the following scopes:

  • Select Folder to search a specific folder in a local VersionVault view. You may type the folder name or click Add Folder to select it. If the folder contains subfolders that you want to search, select Include Subfolders.
  • Select View to search all folders in a specific VersionVault view on the local host. You may type the view name or click Choose to open the Select View dialog box.
  • Select All Views to search all VersionVault views on the local host.
Note: In an Eclipse environment, the VersionVault Search tab of the Eclipse search dialog box allows you to select Workspace to search the entire workspace or Working Set to restrict the search to the current working set. You can also search an individual (folder) resource in the workspace.

Results of the search are returned in the VersionVault Search Results.
