Activating marketplace seller contracts

Management Center allows you to activate the marketplace seller contract.

About this task

Users with the following roles can activate the marketplace seller contracts:
  1. Site Administrator
  2. Marketplace Operator
  3. Marketplace Seller

Procedure

  1. Open Management Center Tools.
  2. From the hamburger menu, select the Seller Dashboard tool.
  3. From the Store filter, select the Extended Sites Catalog Asset Store.
  4. Click on the Sellers tab. A landing page has all the existing sellers created for the selected Catalog Asset Store.
  5. Click on the Access Seller Dashboard option given in the same row as the seller's name. The Seller Dashboard page opens.
  6. Click on the Buyer Contracts tab on the Seller Dashboard page. The Buyer Contracts page opens. This page lists all the contracts created for the Marketplace Seller.
  7. You can activate the Marketplace Seller contract using one of the following methods:
    • On the Buyer Contracts login page, enable the toggle button in the Status column to activate the contract. Upon enabling the toggle button, the contract status changes from Inactive to Deploying.
    • You can also activate the seller contract from the edit contract page. Click on the seller's name. The Contract Details page opens. Enable the toggle button on the contract details page to activate the seller contract.
    Note: Only one contract with a buyer for a specified date range can be active.
    • If there is a conflicting contract, the user will be presented with a dialog to resolve the conflict.
    • If the conflicting contract is a buyer contract, then the user is warned about the deactivation of the conflicting contract.
    • In case of a conflicting group buyer contract, the Management Center warns the user that it will remove the affected buyers from the conflicting contract.
    • If the activated contract is a Group Buyer Contract with multiple buyers, there could be various conflicting contracts, and the Management Center will warn the user about all changes.
