.CSV file for Catalog Updates

HCL Commerce provides a .CSV file for Catalog Updates. This file contains all the information related to the products that are available for shoppers on the storefront.

This .CSV file contains information related to part number, type, parent part, currency, price etc. See the sample .CSV file for more information.

Marketplace Operators, Marketplace Sellers and Marketplace Administrators can download and view the .CSV file but only Marketplace Operators and Marketplace Sellers can update and upload the .CSV file.
Note: The maximum size for the .CSV file is 10.48576 MB.
Marketplace Operators or Marketplace Sellers can download the .CSV file and update the following details:
  • Add a new product to the list
  • Delete existing products
  • Update part number of the product
  • Update the type of the product
  • Update Parent Part number
  • Update the existing currency
  • Update the price of the product
  • Update the attributes available
Note: All the columns available in the .CSV file are editable and can be updated:
  • To add a new product in the .CSV file:
    • Download the existing .CSV file.
    • Create a new .CSV file.
    • Add the product information in the existing product list.
    • Upload the updated .CSV file and follow the approval process again.
    • After completing the approval process, run full indexing. The product is deleted from the storefront.
  • To delete any product listed in the .CSV file:
    • download the existing .CSV file.
    • Create a new .CSV file.
    • In the Delete Header column, the existing value is 0 by default. Change the value of Delete Header from 0 to 1 for all the product you want to delete.
    • Upload the updated .CSV file and follow the approval process again.
    • After completing the approval process, run full indexing. The product is deleted from the storefront.
  • If you want to update any other information such as price of the product:
    • Download the existing .CSV file.
    • Create a new .CSV file.
    • Update the price and upload the updated .CSV file.
    • Follow the approval process again.
    • After completing the approval process, run full indexing. The modified price is updated on the storefront.

When the Marketplace Operator approves the catalog update request, run the full index to view the changes on storefront.
