Creating hyperlink types
Use the Create Hyperlink Type option in the VersionVault Navigator view to create hyperlink types.
About this task
You can create one or more hyperlink types for future use within a VOB. After creating a hyperlink, you can connect pairs of objects with hyperlinks of that type.
Conceptually, a hyperlink is an "arrow" from one VOB-database object (version, branch, element, or VOB symbolic link) to another. To enable objects in two different VOBs to be connected, a hyperlink type with the same name must be created in both VOBs.
Procedure
To create a hyperlink type:
- In the VersionVault Navigator, move to the VOB where you want to create the new hyperlink type.
- Click the (+) next to the VOB name to expand the VOB node.
The Hyperlink Types node is displayed.
- Right-click the Hyperlink Types node and select Create Hyperlink Type from the context menu.
