A JNDI error occurs from starting the search server.

Problem

An error similar to the following snippet occurs at a number of different locations in the log file:


Exception: com.ibm.commerce.foundation.server.services.dataaccess.exception.ConfigurationException: 
CWXFS0020E: Failed to retrieve datasource for search server with JNDI name: jdbc/WebSphere Commerce Cloudscape DataSource demo.

Solution

This error occurs when the search server is started before the database server is fully started.

To resolve this issue, restart the search server.
