Remote Control Server Certificate

By default, Remote Control creates a self-signed certificate for the website during the installation.

The default certificate is in the following directory.

Windows systems
\[installdir]\wlp\usr\servers\trcserver\resources\security
Linux systems

/[installdir]/wlp/usr/servers/trcserver/resources/security

The file name is key.jks and has a default password of TrCWebAS.

The configuration for the certificate file is stored in the ssl.xml file in the following directory.
Windows systems
\[installdir]\wlp\usr\servers\trcserver
Linux systems

/[installdir]/wlp/usr/servers/trcserver

Where [installdir] is the Remote Control installation directory.

Any changes to the ssl.xml file are overwritten by configuration changes when you reinstall or upgrade the Remote Control server, or rerun trcsetup.cmd. Choose the appropriate method to install a certificate for Remote Control. You can also configure the SSL certificate by using the server installer. For more information about configuring the SSL certificate during installation, see the BigFix® Remote Control Installation Guide.
