Create a VersionVault UCM integration view

In a typical UCM project, you work on activities in a development view and deliver completed activities to an integration view. In a single-stream UCM project, all users work on activities in an integration view.

This dialog box can be accessed by using the Join Project wizard or by right-clicking on an existing integration stream and selecting Create View.

Controls in the dialog box

The following controls appear in the dialog box:

Control name Control description
Create an Integration View Clear this check box if your project does not define an integration stream. Single-stream UCM projects do not use an integration stream and do not require an integration view.
View Tag For web views, the default View tag name is the same as the final subdirectory of the Copy area path name. If you edit this field, the Copy area path name directory also reflects the changes you make. To set this field to a name that is different from the copy area directory, you must edit the Copy area path name.
View Options Opens the View options dialog box in which you can specify a view text mode.
Copy area path name The full path name to the copy area (web views only). By default, the copy area is created in your home directory, in a subdirectory named with the name of the stream you specified on the Join a UCM Project page. To create the copy area in a different local directory, type the path name to that directory, or click Browse to navigate to a folder to use. Note that when you change the copy area, the View tag does not automatically reflect the change. This option is not active if the currently selected View Type is Dynamic.
Configure the integration view with the development view, and load both views after configuration Click to configure and load the integration view along with the development view. If this option is selected when joining a UCM project, any operations performed in the Copy Area Rules sections of the Edit Configuration dialog box apply to both the development and integration views and the UCM Custom Rules section of the Edit Configuration dialog box contains two text boxes for entering rules - a top text box for the development view and a lower text box for the integration view. Note that you can specify that this option is selected by default by using the HCL VersionVault Explorer Client > Integration > After Join Project, configure the integration view with the development view, and load both views after the configuration preference setting.
Browse Opens a file system browser in which you can navigate to and select a folder to use for the copy area.
Back Returns to previous screen. Note that this option is only available if you are using the Join Project wizard.
Next Proceeds to the next screen. Note that this option is only available if you are using the Join Project wizard.
Finish Creates the specified integration view. If you are using the Join Project wizard, clicking Finish also creates the specified development view and stream.
Cancel Cancels the operation.
