Locating objects in the Version Tree Browser view

Use the Locate dialog in the VersionVault Version Tree view to find objects in the version tree of a VersionVault resource. You can search for specific versions, branches, labels, or activities that contain the that text you specify.

Before you begin

Before you can use the Locate dialog to find objects in a version tree, you must open the VersionVault Version Tree view for the resource whose version tree you want to search.

About this task

To locate objects in the VersionVault Version Tree view:
  1. In the VersionVault Version Tree view, take either of the following actions:
    • Click the locate dialog icon icon on the VersionVault Version Tree view toolbar.
    • Click the Eclipse view menu icon icon on the VersionVault Version Tree view toolbar and select Locate.
  2. In the Locate dialog, specify the criteria for the object you want to find and then click Locate. The first occurrence of an object that meets the specified criteria is highlighted in the VersionVault Version Tree view with the locate arrow icon icon
  3. Click Locate again to find the next object that meets the specified criteria. If another object is found, the locate arrow icon icon moves to the next object; if there are no more matching objects in the version tree, a message is displayed in the Locate dialog.
