Editing a policy

You can edit an existing ACLs policy in a VersionVault VOB.

Before you begin

You must be connected to the VOB server (in the case of a dynamic view) or the VersionVault WAN server (if you are using a web view or automatic view) to edit an ACLs policy.

About this task

The access control entries in a policy list a principal and its granted permissions. Principals in a policy are usually roles, with the name of the role defined by the administrator. You can also put in specific users or groups as well, but most administrators prefer to put them into the rolemaps implementing the policy.
Note: VersionVault does not support negative (deny) permissions in access control entries, only positive (grant) access control entries.

To edit an existing ACLs policy in the VersionVault Explorer:
  1. In the VersionVault Navigator view, locate the VOB containing the policy you want to edit.
