Adding files to attachments

Use the Assets tool to add files to multilingual attachments, which make language-specific attachments available based on a customer's default browsing language.

For example, if your site supports multiple languages, you might have a separate user manual file in each store for each language that is supported for a product. You can use the Assets tool to organize these user manual files by adding them to a multilingual attachment. You can then use the Catalogs tool to associate this multilingual attachment with a product. When customers log on to the store in a specific language and view this product, the user manual is displayed to them in the specified language.

Use the utilities view to browse and search for files that you want to add to the current attachment:

  1. Open the Assets tool.

Note that the search keyword must not contain the following characters: \ and "
