Target, On-demand Target, Broker, Gateway or CLI fail to install or start on Windows
- The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.
- The program cannot start because api-ms-win-crt-stdio-I1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
To fix this problem, perform the following actions:
- Update the OS to the latest version and install all the required fix available through Windows Update.
- Try to run or install again the Remote Control component.
If the component installation or run keeps failing:
- If a Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable is already installed, uninstall it.
- Download the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3 from internet and install it.
- Try to run or install again the Remote Control component.
Note: The On-demand Target does not include the redistributable package.
Therefore, for the On-demand Target to start successfully, install the
redistributable package manually.
