Presentation layer
WebSphere Commerce uses Java Server Pages (JSP) to implement the view layer of the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern. The view layer is in charge of retrieving data from the database through the use of data beans and formatting it to meet the display requirements. The view layers determines whether the request is sent to a browser or streamed out as XML. JSP files present a clean separation between data content and presentation.

The steps in this section explain how to change the order in which the answers to a particular question display.

Procedure

Edit the XML input file
Locate the set of answers that you want to edit.
Edit the number between the <orderSeq> begin and end tags for each answer. This number corresponds to the sequence in which the answers are displayed to the customer. Each answer for the question must have a unique orderSeq value.
Save the XML file.
Update the production server by importing the updated XML file.
