Enabling interim fix JR53164

You must complete these steps to adopt the fix in this APAR.

Before you begin

  1. Install the interim fix for APAR JR53164.
  2. Backup your existing search inventory directory if you have customized the current inventory index:
    • SolarisLinuxAIXWindowsWC_installdir/instances/instance_name/search/solr/home/MC_MasterCatalogId/generic
    • For IBM i OS operating systemsolrhome/MC_MasterCatalogId/generic
    • WebSphere Commerce DeveloperWCDE_installdir\search\solr\home\MC_MasterCatalogId\generic
  3. WebSphere Commerce DeveloperEnsure that the WebSphere Commerce test server is stopped.

Procedure

  1. Delete the original generic directory that was backed up in the prerequisite steps:
    • SolarisLinuxAIXWindowsWC_installdir/instances/instance_name/search/solr/home/MC_MasterCatalogId/generic
    • For IBM i OS operating systemsolrhome/MC_MasterCatalogId/generic
    • WebSphere Commerce DeveloperWCDE_installdir\search\solr\home\MC_MasterCatalogId\generic
  2. Recreate the search inventory directory structure by using the setupSearchIndex utility, specifying the Inventory index subtype. For more information, see Site Administrators: Setting up the inventory index in WebSphere Commerce search.
  3. Merge your customizations back into the newly-created inventory index, if necessary.
  4. Restart your WebSphere Commerce search server.
  5. Build the inventory index by using the di-buildindex utility, specifying the inventory index subtype. For more information, see Site Administrators: Building the inventory index in WebSphere Commerce search.
