Creating a contract by using Management Center

Create a contract by using the Management Center Tools, which creates a contract in the draft state. The contract then goes through any approval process that is defined for your store. If you want to create a new contract in either the approved or active state, you must import the contract from an XML file.

About this task

Important: When you add products or categories to the Percentage Pricing page of the Contracts notebook, HCL Commerce automatically makes all products in the master catalog available in the contract at standard prices.

Procedure

  1. Open Management Center Tools and from the hamburger menu, click Manage Accounts > Accounts and Contracts.
  2. Click Accounts. The Account list page displays containing business accounts currently defined for the selected store.
  3. The three dots shown under Action menu represents Contract. Select Contact from Action menu, or click on the number of contract count of the business account that you want to create a new contract for. The Contract page opens.
  4. Click New, to create new contract wizard/stepper.
  5. Complete all the fields given for each step. Use the Back and Next buttons to switch between pages.
  6. Click Finish to save the contract and close the notebook. The contract is displayed in the Contract List page.
