Adding a bundle to a quote

A customer might want to get a cost quotation before deciding whether to place an order. You can use the IBM Sales Center to create a quote for a new or existing customer by beginning with an empty quote, or you can use it to create a new quote based on the information in an existing quote or order. This section explains how to add a bundle to a quote.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the IBM Sales Center.
  2. Select a store.
  3. Create a quote to which you want to add items.
  4. Go to the Quote Items page.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Click the Find Product icon (Find Product icon) to open a page that you can use to find and select a prepackaged bundle or multiple items to form a temporary bundle.
  7. On the Bundle Contents page, perform the following actions for each item:
    1. Select the item in the Bundle contents table.
    2. Optional: Click Details to open a page that you can use to view detailed information about the item.
    3. If the item requires that you select attributes, perform the following actions:
      1. Click Attributes.
      2. Select an attribute from each list.
      3. Click Inventory to open a page that you can use to check availability of this item in inventory.
      4. Click OK.
    4. Enter the requested quantity in the Quantity field.
    5. Optional: image goes here To select a different contract price if one is available:
      1. Click the Contract cell.
      2. Select a contract price.
      3. Click OK.

      Note: If multiple contract prices are available to the customer, the lowest contract price is selected by default.

    6. image goes here Perform the following actions:
      1. Select the item's destination from the Shipping to list.

        Tip: Click New to open a page that you can use to add a new shipping or billing address for the customer.

      2. Select the requested shipping carrier from the Shipping Carrier list.
      3. Enter the date that the customer would like the item shipped in the Requested shipping date field.
    7. Click OK.

    1. Select the item in the quote-item table.
    2. Click Edit.
    3. Optional: For a dynamic kit, you can configure it by selecting More actions...; then click Configure.
    4. Select the item's destination from the Shipping to list.
    5. Select the requested Shipping Carrier from the Shipping Carrier list.

      Tip: Click the Add Shipping Instructions icon (Add Shipping Instructions icon) to open a page that you can use to add shipping instructions for the item.

    6. Enter the date that the customer would like the item shipped in the Requested shipping date field.
    7. Optional: Click the Override Price icon (Override Price icon) to open a page that you can use to override the total item price if you are authorized to do so.
  9. Optional: image goes here For each item added to the quote-item table in the previous step:
    1. Select the item in the quote-item table.
    2. Optional: If the product is a dynamic kit, you can by selecting More actions... then Configure.
    3. Optional: Click the Override Price icon (Override Price icon) to open a page that you can use to override the total item price if you are authorized to do so.
  10. Click the Apply button to apply your changes before clicking on the Payment page.
  11. Optional: Modify the payment information to include the new quote items.
  12. Optional: Click Adjustments to open a page that you can use to view the details of any adjustments to the quote.
  13. Click Complete Quote.
