Adding associated products

You can view and apply suggestions for associated products (such as cross-sells, up-sells, and so on) based on the items in an order or quote.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the IBM Sales Center.
  2. Select a store.
  3. Create or find the order or quote to which you want to apply suggestions for associated products.
  4. If this is an order and it has already been submitted, click Edit.
  5. If this is a quote and it has already been completed, create a new quote from it.
  6. Go to the Order Items or Quote Items page.
  7. Add items as requested by the customer.
  8. If the Merchandising Associations view is not open, click View > Show View > Merchandising Associations.
    Note: Merchandising associations only display when an order or quote is selected in the Stores view, or an editor is selected. When selecting an order or quote in the Stores view, the Merchandising Association view displays the associations for the selected order or quote, irrespective of the selected order or quote editor, or any other editor in the editors view. If the order or quote selection between the Stores view and editors view is different, the displayed merchandising associations cannot be applied to the order or quote.
  9. Click the view filter icon in the Merchandising Associations view.
  10. Perform one of the following actions:
    • To view the associations for all items in the order or quote, click Filter > Show All Associations.
    • To view only the associations for an item selected in the order or quote:
      1. Click Filter > Show Selected Item's Associations.
      2. Select an item in the item table in the Order or Quote editor.
  11. Review the suggested products shown in the Merchandising Associations view with the customer.
  12. If the customer wants to receive one of the associated products, perform the following actions:
    1. Drag the associated product from the Merchandising Associations view.
    2. Drop the product anywhere in the Order Items or Quote Items page of the editor.
    3. If the Apply Merchandising Association page displays, perform one of the following actions:
      • To add the associated product to the order or quote without replacing existing items:
        1. Sect Add item to order or quote.
        2. Click OK.
      • To add the associated product to the order as a replacement for existing items:
        1. Select Apply association to items
        2. Select the items to be replaced.
        3. Click OK.
    4. Modify the information in the item-detail fields as necessary.
  13. Click the Apply button to apply your changes before clicking on the Payment page.
  14. Modify the payment information as necessary.
  15. Click Submit or Complete Quote.
