The information contained in this section applies to IBM WebSphere Commerce Version 7.0.0.9 and Feautre Pack 8. The documentation also applies to all subsequent releases and modifications until otherwise indicated in new editions.

IBM Management Center for WebSphere Commerce
The IBM Management Center for WebSphere Commerce, or Management Center, is a suite of tools to support store management, merchandising, and marketing tasks for business users (Sellers, Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Catalog Managers, and others).
Store Management tool
As a Seller, Site Administrator, or Channel Manager, you can use the Store Management tool in Management Center to manage your stores. The Store Management tool in Management Center replaces all of the store management features in WebSphere Commerce Accelerator, except store creation and the ability to suspend and resume stores. Continue to use the Store Creation wizard in WebSphere Commerce Accelerator to create new stores; continue to use WebSphere Commerce Accelerator to suspend and resume stores.
Working with stores
Use the Store Management tool to manage the stores that you are authorized to work with.
Opening stores
Use the Store Management tool to open a store that is in the closed state. For example, if a store was previously closed to perform maintenance work, you can open the store once this work is complete so that shoppers can shop in the store.

Procedure

Open the Store Management tool.
In the explorer view filter, click Stores.
The Stores list view displays, containing a list of the stores that you are authorized to work with.
You can search for stores to display one or more stores that match your search criteria.
Right-click a store; then click Open store.
Note: The open store feature is available only for direct stores, hub stores, and extended site stores. You cannot use the open store feature to open asset stores, catalog asset stores, extended site hub stores, or auxiliary stores.
