Flowchart scheduling for scheduled messages

Depending on how you schedule a message, you might need to schedule a run of the flowchart that is used to create or update the recipient list that is referenced by a scheduled messaging. You can use a scheduled flowchart run to trigger one or more messaging runs.

You schedule the flowchart run in the Unica Scheduler. You can run the flowchart on a particular future date or according to one of several recurrence patterns. Platform maintains a list of scheduled tasks, including scheduled flowchart runs, on the schedule management windows. To access the schedule management windows, navigate to Settings > Scheduled Tasks.

Note: You must schedule the flowchart to run at some time in the future. The messaging scheduler cannot detect a flowchart schedule with a starting date set to Now.

When you configure a scheduled flowchart run in the Scheduler, you assign a name to the scheduled run. You select the scheduled flowchart by this name when you schedule a messaging.

Assign an intuitive name that can be easily recognized when you select the scheduled flowchart. To help distinguish the various schedules available in the scheduler, include the date and time you want the flowchart to run in the name of the scheduled flowchart run.
