Adding content to the library while you edit a communication

You can add a file to the Content Library when you are editing a communication. When you add the file to the Content Library, the new file is immediately available for use in the communication that you are editing. You cannot upload file archives while you edit a communication.

About this task

When you add or replace a content element in a communication the communication editor displays an asset selector screen.

Procedure

  1. In a communication, right-click a content element and select Add content or Replace asset. The content selector screen opens with the current content element highlighted.
  2. In the toolbar, select Upload asset Page with folder: Upload asset.
  3. In the Upload Asset window, enter a name for the content element to be created and browse to the file that you want to upload.

    If the file that you are uploading is an HTML template, select Please check if the asset is a template. Do not select this option if the asset is an image, text, or non-template HTML snippet.

    Note: You cannot use the characters > < / \ ? | " * in the content element name.
  4. Click Upload.

    The file appears in the content selector screen. To add the uploaded file to the communication, double-click the name of the uploaded file in the list.
