Recycle Bin

When you delete a communication, asset, or folder, the Communication Editor moves the deleted items to the Recycle Bin. You can restore the deleted items if necessary. The Communications Editor maintains a separate Recycle Bin on the Communications tab and on the Content Library tab.

The recycle bins are temporary holding areas for items that you want to remove from the system, but might need to retrieve. You can remove items from a Recycle Bin by restoring the item or by permanently deleting the item.

When you delete an asset or communication, it moves to the Recycle Bin and is no longer visible in the Content or Communications libraries. When you delete a folder, the folder hierarchy is removed from the library tree.

Communications that include or reference a deleted asset lose access to the asset, including assets in deleted folders and subfolders.

Searches for a deleted item or folder do not show the item. Searches for items in a deleted folder hierarchy do not include the deleted items in the search results.

To restore access to a deleted item, you must restore the item to the Communication or Content libraries.
