Create a push notification
You can create a push communication in the Quick Builder. Perform the following steps.
- Under Communication tab, in the New list, select Push.
- Under the Properties tab, perform the following substeps.
- Specify an appropriate Push Communication name.
- Optional. Provide a description.
- Click Change to browse and select the folder you want to choose to save the notification under All Communications. Click Save.
- Under Content, perform the following substeps.
- Under Title, provide a appropriate title of the push notification, type "#" to include a personalized field , and use emoji picker to use emojis.
- Under Message, type the message you want to display in the push notification, type "#" to include a personalized field , and use emoji picker to use emojis.
- Click Choose Image to browse and select the image under Folder List in Content Picker. The preview of all images in the selected folder are displayed.
- You can also use the images stored under a different repository. Select the appropriate repository from the Repository list.
- Click Select. The preview of the notification with title, message, and the selected image appears in the right pane.
- Under Advance Settings, perform the folllowing substeps.
- Optional. Under General, to set the URL to open when users click the notification, enable URL.
- Optional. To wake up your app's background handler when message is received, enable Run background handler.
- Optional. To include JSON to your app, enable Include JSON.
- To enable Action Buttons to your notifications, enable Action
Buttons. Provide a unique ID under ID field and provide a
label of the button under Text.Note: A concise, descriptive button label helps the recipient to understand the results of clicking the button. For example, you may name the button Call Now! instead of Open.
- Enable either iOS settings or Android settings to complete the platform-specific settings.
- Click Save & Publish.
