Adding multiple content files from a file archive
You can add multiple files to the Content Library simultaneously by uploading the files in a compressed archive, such as a ZIP archive. For example, you can add a collection of images to the library simultaneously, instead of one at a time. The upload process organizes the new content elements according to the folder structure that exists within the file archive. Depending on how you name the files, the system can configure the content element properties automatically.
Template: HTML files used as templates to define the framework of email and landing pages.
When you upload a Template archive, the system selects Is Template for each content element and identifies each file with .
Mixed: refers to archives that contain a combination of templates, images, videos, PDFs, text, and non-template HTML files.
When you upload a Mixed archive, the file type is considered to be unknown. Each file is identified in the Content Library with .
The system selects Is Template for each content element. The first time that you open a content element that is uploaded in a Mixed archive, the system displays a warning and prompts you to confirm whether the asset is a template. If the asset is not a template, clear the Is Template option.
The first time that you use or save a file that you upload in a mixed archive, the system prompts you to confirm whether or not the file is a template. The Content Library then identifies the content element as template or non-template
Content: images, text, videos, PDFs, and non-template HTML files.
If the file names follow a specific pre-defined format, the Message Editor can automatically configure content elements that provide multiple content variations and selectively assign reference labels to individual content elements. For each content element with multiple variations, you must specify a single default variation.
The Content Library identifies the files with multiple variations with .
The Content Library requires a specific the file name structure to perform the automatic content element configuration. You must follow the name format exactly. The format is described in the upload interface and online documentation. Configuring content elements automatically is not available for files uploaded in Template or Mixed archives.
