Adding a text block to a zone

When you add a text block to a zone, the graphical HTML editor opens by default. In the editor, you can use the graphical editing tools or enter text in text-only mode.

About this task

If you are adding a text block to a text-only template, working in text-only mode can give you a more realistic view of how the text appears when you run the mailing.

You can also use the editor to add personalization fields in the text that you enter.

Procedure

  1. Drag the text block widget Lines surrounded by dotted line rectangle image to the zone where you want to add the text block.

    The graphical HTML editor opens.

  2. Enter the text that you want to appear in the email.

    Format the text using the editing tools in the toolbars. To enter text in text-only mode, click the HTML Source tab.

    To insert a personalization field, click Arrows pointing left and right image / Insert personalization field in HTML editor and select the field that you want to insert.
