Reporting a problem

About this task

If you experience a problem with the HCL Nomad Application, follow these steps to report the issue to HCL Support.

Procedure

  1. If the problem is reproducible, enable verbose logging in the Settings > HCL Nomadsettings menu.
  2. Reproduce the issue with HCL Nomad. Take screen shots of any errors, unexpected behaviors, etc.
  3. In HCL Nomad select Menu > Help > Generate Problem Report to collect the HCL Nomad diagnostic data.
  4. In HCL Nomad select Menu > Help > Report a Defect An email composition window pops up.
    Note: HCL Verse or a configured email client is required for the Report a Defect feature to work.
  5. In the draft window, enter a detailed problem description, attach any relevant screen shots, and attach the HCLNomadPR.zip file before you hit send.
    Note: The email is sent to HCL Support by default.
  6. Disable verbose logging in the Settings > HCL Nomad settings menu.
