Troubleshooting: Activities with no end date increase the usage of DM Cache

Many activities created without an end date may impact the performance of the marketing engine runtime by saturating the DM_CACHE. Such activities decrease the performance of the cache and the overall marketing engine.


You can create new marketing activities in the Management Center without specifying an end date. Such activities without an end date accumulate over time, increasing the usage of DM Cache and decreasing the performance of the marketing engine.


To reduce the accumulation of marketing cached data and to improve marketing performance, assign an end date and end time to as many activities as possible. Deactivate or delete activities that are no longer required.
