Troubleshooting: EAR file export fails due to incorrect permissions

During an install of the fix pack to your WebSphere Commerce instance, a problem is encountered during the EAR file export.


The EAR file export fails.


Navigate to the following location:
  • WC_profiledir/config/cells/cell_name/applications/instance_name.ear
Verify that the permissions set for this file are 640. You can also verify that this file can be uncompressed, and that the contents are uncorrupted. Run the fix pack installation again for your WebSphere Commerce instance.
