Troubleshooting: Error encountered when attempting silent uninstall of fix pack

Attempting to uninstall a fix pack, using the silent method, an error is logged indicating a problem with the fix pack installation.

Problem

The uninstall fails with the following message:

CWUPI0024E:  The update operation is not permitted on FP00X.pak. Either
this maintenance package is corrupted, or it has dependencies that prevent 
this maintenance package from being updated.
where X is the number of the fix pack installed.

Solution

If you encounter this error, edit your response file and ensure that you have the full name of the fix pack listed.

For example: 
7.0.0-WS-WCServer-FP00X.pak
where X is the number of the fix pack installed.
