Setting the Home Page for MicroSoft Edge on Windows

You can set the home page for Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices by using the restriction policy through the WebUI.

About this task

Currently, the Edge policies for browser versions 45 or later do not support setting a customized home page on startup through CSP. Hence, Microsoft suggests using ADMX policies to achieve the same results on version 45 or later. For more information, refer to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/configure-edge-with-mdm.

Procedure

To set a customized home page on the Edge browser on startup:

Create an MCM custom policy1 in the WebUI by following the guidance in MS Edge ADMX policy.
Deploy the created policy1 on a Windows endpoint for Microsoft Edge ADMX file ingestion.
Create an MCM custom policy2 in the WebUI by following the guidance in RestoreOnStartup and RestoreOnStartupURLs settings
Deploy the created policy2 on an endpoint to configure the RestoreOnStartup and RestoreOnStartupURLs settings through MDM.
