Results

To automatically modify a Rational ClearQuest record associated with a UCM activity, your Rational ClearQuest policies must be configured to automatically transition Rational ClearQuest records based on ClearCase® actions. For example, if you check out a file in a UCM project that is configured to work with Rational ClearQuest and you select an existing ClearCase UCM activity to associate with the checkout, Rational ClearQuest will automatically transition the record as appropriate if the transition does not require further information. If more information from you is required, the ClearQuest record opens and the fields requiring information are highlighted.

The following DevOps Code ClearCase UCM actions can automatically transition ClearQuest records:

  • Add to source control
  • Check in
  • Check out
  • Rename, move, or delete an element under ClearCase source control
  • Deliver
  • Finish activity
  • Work On
