Links widget

Use this widget to add one or more text links from a store page to other store pages, or to external URLs. The widget displays the links in a vertical list and supports an optional display title.

After you add this widget to a layout, you can set the following properties:

Properties of a Links widget

Property Description
Widget name Type a name to identify this widget in this layout, for example, LinksToOtherPages. This name is not displayed on the storefront.
Display title Type a title to display at the top of the widget on the store page, for example, More Ways To Shop.
Links Specify one or more links to display in this widget:
  1. Click the arrow on the right side of Add Link, and then select the type of link.
  2. Complete the steps that apply to your selection:
    • If you selected Custom URL:
      1. In the Link Text column, type the text that you want to display on the storefront for the link, for example, Visit Our Corporate Site.
      2. In the URL column, type the full URL. Example: http://www.example.com/page.html
    • If you selected Content Page, Category Page, or Catalog Entry Page:
      1. In the Search keyword field, type the name of the store page, and then click OK.
      2. In the Link Text column, type the text that you want to display on the storefront for the link, for example, New Arrivals.
  3. To change the order in which the links are displayed in the widget, click a row that contains a link. Then, click the arrows above the table to move the row up or down.
Open Link In When a shopper clicks the link, specify whether to open the linked page in the same window or a new window.
