Integrating WebSphere Commerce with IBM Web Content Manager
To integrate Management Center with IBM Web Content Manager,
WebSphere Commerce and IBM Web Content Manager must
be configured to operate together. To ensure that users can punch-out
from Management Center to IBM Web Content Manager easily,
enable single sign-on between the applications through a Lightweight
Directory Access Protocol.
Before you begin
Ensure that the following software is installed:
- WebSphere Commerce version 7.
- WebSphere Commerce Feature Pack 6 or later.
Interim fix for
APAR JR47399. Installing the interim fix to add the required
files for this integration to your WebSphere Commerce instance. This
fix includes the code to enable the Management Center mechanism that
opens a window to IBM Web Content Manager. 
Note: If you have Feature Pack 7 or
later, this step is not required. The content within the interim fix
is included by default with this feature pack. - Install any required or recommended maintenance fix packs or interim fixes for WebSphere Commerce:
- Deprecated featureIBM WebSphere Portal and IBM Web Content Manager Version 8.0.0.1 .
- Deprecated featureIBM WebSphere Portal version 8.0.0.1 Cumulative Fix 08.
- Deprecated featureInstall any additional required or recommended maintenance fixes for WebSphere Portal:
- Deprecated featureIBM Web Content Manager for WebSphere Commerce Portal Application Archive (PAA). You can obtain this archive from the WebSphere Portal catalog. This archive includes the code to enable IBM Web Content Manager to integrate with WebSphere Commerce. To install this archive, see Installing a Portal Application Archive (PAA) file.
Ensure that you have access to the following applications
in an administrative role:
- Operating system as a user that has access to manage WebSphere Commerce. For more information, see the following topics:
- Management Center as a Product Manager. For more information about creating a user and assigning a role to the user, see Creating a user.
- Your database as an administrator or a user that has authority to update the database.
- WebSphere Application Server administrative console as an administrator.
- IBM Web Content Manager as an administrator.
Ensure that a WebSphere Commerce store that is based on the Aurora starter store exists. If an Aurora starter store does not exist, publish the Aurora starter store. The following procedure uses an extended sites Aurora starter store for testing purposes. The integration between WebSphere Commerce and IBM Web Content Manager is based on the Aurora starter store.
