Installing maintenance
WebSphere Commerce maintenance includes installing fix packs, interim fixes (APARs), and cumulative interim fixes.
Interim fixes and cumulative interim fixes
A WebSphere Commerce interim fix (iFix) is a software patch that contains fixes for one or more APARs. A WebSphere Commerce cumulative iFix is a comprehensive collection of interim fixes for a specific release. Both types of fixes are installed with the WebSphere Commerce Update Installer (UPDI).
Additional steps for orders, payments, or inventory-related interim fixes
Some interim fixes include changes that affect your Orders, Payments, and Inventory components. After you install the fix, you might need to complete additional steps to enable the fix on your environment.

JR58214 resolves a Failed to find physical store by external identifier error if you are integrated with Sterling Order Management.

Before you begin

Install the interim fix for JR58214.

For information about how to install an interim fix, see

Procedure

Open the WC_eardir\xml\config\com.ibm.commerce.inventory-ext\wc-admin-component.xml file.

Note: If the path does not exist, complete the following substeps to create a custom path and configuration file.
1. Create the com.ibm.commerce.inventory-ext directory to resemble the following path WC_eardir\xml\config\com.ibm.commerce.inventory-ext.
2. Go to the default inventory component configuration file at the following path:
```
WC_eardir\xml\config\com.ibm.commerce.inventory
```
3. Copy the wc-admin-component.xml file to the new WC_eardir\xml\config\com.ibm.commerce.inventory-ext\ folder.
4. Open the copied wc-admin-component.xml in an editor. This copy becomes the customized version of the wc-admin-component.xml file.

Add the following property under the <_config:extendedconfiguration> node.

 <_config:configgrouping name="SyncInventoryRespectsContextStoreId">
    <_config:property name="enabled" value="true"/>
</_config:configgrouping>

To update the changes in a development environment, start, or restart the WebSphere Commerce server.
