Management Center enhancements (business user tools)
The IBM Management Center for WebSphere Commerce, or Management Center, is the next generation business user tool for managing business tasks for online businesses. Using the Management Center, business users can perform tasks to create, update, and maintain merchandising and marketing assets in stores that use the Deprecated featureconsumer direct, B2B direct, Deprecated featuredemand chain, Deprecated featuresupply chain, and extended sites business models. Each business function can be managed using tools within the Management Center.
Promotions
The Promotions tool in WebSphere Commerce Version 7 includes new promotion types and enhancements to help you manage your promotions.
Inactive promotions can be archived to make finding promotions easier
Business users can use a new archive promotion status to archive inactive promotions. When a promotion is archived, the promotion is removed from displaying in the main promotions list view and removed from any promotion folder that included the promotion. By archiving promotions, business users can make finding active promotions and any remaining inactive promotions easier.

Inactive promotions can be archived to make finding promotions easier

Business users can use a new archive promotion status to archive inactive promotions. When a promotion is archived, the promotion is removed from displaying in the main promotions list view and removed from any promotion folder that included the promotion. By archiving promotions, business users can make finding active promotions and any remaining inactive promotions easier.

By default, the main Promotions - List view for the Promotions tool can display 500 promotions per page for a maximum of 1000 promotions. If your store has more than 1000 promotions, this list does not display any promotions. By archiving inactive promotions and removing the promotions from this list view, business users can control which promotions display in the promotions list.

For example, business users can archive promotions that are inactive longer than 3 months so that the Promotions - List view displays active promotions, new promotions, and recently inactive promotions.

Note: The Promotions tool can also be configured so that when a promotion is included in a folder, the promotion no longer displays in the Promotions - List view. For more information, see Organizing promotions with folders.
