Unique promotion codes offer new redemption method

There are two types of promotion codes: public, and unique. Public promotion codes, typically advertised in television or radio commercials, enable any customer who knows the code to use the promotion. Unique promotion codes, provided only to targeted customers, can be redeemed once.
Business users, such as a Marketing Manager, can select a promotion code specification to associate with any promotion within the Promotions tool in the Management Center.
  • To use public promotion codes, users can create a public promotion code to enter a specific reusable public promotion code, for example HOLIDAYPROMO.

    Feature Pack 7 or laterIf Management Center is integrated with IBM Marketing Center, Management Center users can export public promotion codes for use in IBM Marketing Center.

IBM Marketing Center is a cloud-based solution that provides users with precision marketing capabilities to create, personalize, and manage marketing campaigns and digital communications to reach customers with promotion offers. This solution also provides users with the capabilities to track marketing information and generate marketing analytics. With this integration, users can open IBM Marketing Center directly from Management Center to upload an exported promotion code file and manage the promotion codes. Business users can export both public and unique promotion codes from the Promotions tool for use in IBM Marketing Center. Users can also include the codes within campaigns and digital communications to customers.
