Reviewing the recipient list referenced by the messaging

Reviewing the recipient list before you start the messaging provides a final opportunity for you to confirm that you are sending the right information to the right people.

Check your flowchart and list design. Confirm that the flowchart logic selected the recipients that you intended to contact.

Check to see that the design of the recipient list maps personalization fields in the list to the correct fields in your data mart. If you are using dimensional tables to support advanced email scripting, confirm that the table and field names match the references in the script.

Confirm that the right personalization fields are available. Under Complete field list for this mailing, the mailing tab lists the personalization fields that are required by the email document.

  • If the recipient list does not contain all of the personalization fields the document requires, Deliver displays an error and the messaging will not run.
  • If the recipient list contains more personalization fields than the document requires, Deliver displays a warning that identifies the unused fields, but the messaging run can proceed.

Update the recipient list as necessary. To update the recipient list, click Edit Recipients. The Deliver process used to create the list opens for editing so that you can change it. When you change the recipient list, you must complete a production run of the flowchart and allow the list to finish uploading to HCL Unica to make the updates available in the messaging.
