  Unica Deliver is a web-based, enterprise scale marketing message solution that you can use to conduct outbound bulk messaging and transactional messaging campaigns. - Selecting email recipients
  If you install and enable Unica Deliver within Campaign, then you can create a list that defines the recipients for a personalized messaging campaign. The list contains the recipient information that is used to address and personalize each message. You create a recipient list by configuring a Deliver process in a Campaign flowchart.

  - Creating a message in a campaign
    You create a Deliver message by adding a message to a campaign in Unica Campaign. You can create multiple messages within a campaign, and you can create messages in more than one campaign.

To enable the system to properly evaluate personalization fields and provide accurate previews, you must reference the recipient list to the message as early as possible in the messaging configuration process.

    The Mailing tab displays and provides access to various characteristics of the message. Although you do not make these changes by updating the message configuration directly, they do affect how the message behaves and what the recipient sees.

    You cannot modify this mailing configuration setting. Deliver tracks Message and Link level events. delivery, view, trackable link, and click data is captured and available in the Message Overview Report.

  Testing a messaging allows you to identify and resolve any problems that might exist with your messaging list, verify how the message will appear to each recipient, and address issues that might interfere with efficient transmission and delivery of your communication. For best results, test each Deliver messaging before you use it to send a production messaging.

Content types to send in a message

To run a test or production message, you must specify the type of content that you want to send. You can use Deliver to send HTML email, text-only email, or both. If you send both versions in a production message, Deliver sends a multi-part email message.

You specify the content type to send on the Mailing tab in edit mode. The Summary Mailing tab indicates which content type is specified and which of the content types available in the referenced document are published.

Deliver uses the latest published version of the content that is specified in the mailing configuration. If you have not selected a content type, or if the content you selected is not published, the system displays an error message and the mailing will not run.
