Unica Deliver is a web-based, enterprise scale marketing message solution that you can use to conduct outbound bulk messaging and transactional messaging campaigns. Deliver integrates with Unica Campaign and with secure message composition, transmission, and tracking resources that are hosted by Unica.
About configuring a mailing
Creating and configuring a Deliver message creates the framework for organizing and running a marketing campaign.
To edit a mailing
You can update a message configuration at any time, except when the message is actively running, enabled for scheduling, or enabled for transactional email, SMS, or WhatsApp. When you update the message, the Mailing tab opens in edit mode to display configuration controls.

- Selecting email recipients
  If you install and enable Unica Deliver within Campaign, then you can create a list that defines the recipients for a personalized messaging campaign. The list contains the recipient information that is used to address and personalize each message. You create a recipient list by configuring a Deliver process in a Campaign flowchart.

  - Creating a message in a campaign
    You create a Deliver message by adding a message to a campaign in Unica Campaign. You can create multiple messages within a campaign, and you can create messages in more than one campaign.

To enable the system to properly evaluate personalization fields and provide accurate previews, you must reference the recipient list to the message as early as possible in the messaging configuration process.

  - About content types to send in a mailing
    To run a test or production message, you must specify the type of content that you want to send. You can use Deliver to send HTML email, text-only email, or both. If you send both versions in a production message, Deliver sends a multi-part email message.
  - Working with constants
    The Mailing tab displays a section that lists the constants available for use in the mailing. Constants are text values, including numerical text, that message designers can add to the design of the email, SMS, Push, or WhatsApp message sent with the message. The text specified as the value for the constant appears as the same value in each message.
  - Other mailing settings
    The Mailing tab displays and provides access to various characteristics of the message. Although you do not make these changes by updating the message configuration directly, they do affect how the message behaves and what the recipient sees.
  - About logging and tracking
    You cannot modify this mailing configuration setting. Deliver tracks Message and Link level events. delivery, view, trackable link, and click data is captured and available in the Message Overview Report.
- About testing Deliver mailings
  Testing a messaging allows you to identify and resolve any problems that might exist with your messaging list, verify how the message will appear to each recipient, and address issues that might interfere with efficient transmission and delivery of your communication. For best results, test each Deliver messaging before you use it to send a production messaging.

  To send personalized message to each member of your target audience, you conduct a Deliver messaging. Deliver provides several different ways to perform a messaging run .

  Digital marketers construct email, landing pages, WhatsApp messages, and text messages in Unica Deliver in the Deliver Message Editor. Find the message that you want to edit.
On the Mailing tab, click or Edit.
The Mailing tab opens in edit mode.
Modify the settings and save your changes.

What to do next

If you canceled scheduling to edit the message, reschedule the message. If you disabled transactional email, SMS, or WhatsApp, re-enable the message for transactional email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
