Declaring the winner of the A/B test

The system declares a winner by evaluating the responses received up to the evaluation deadline that is specified in the A/B test configuration. The winning email is the version that best satisfies the specified evaluation criterion. For maximum views or clicks, the version with the greatest number of responses is the winner. For minimum complaints, the email with the fewest responses wins.

If the test results in a tie between splits, the split that is listed first in the A/B test configuration is the winner of the test. For example, in an A/B test that involves five splits results in a tie between splits 2, 4 and 5, the system declares split 2 the winner.

The system continues to accept and record email responses after the winner is declared and the mailing is complete. You can view the additional results by running the A/B Test Performance report.
