HTML snippets

HTML snippets are self-contained sections of HTML code that you can insert into an email or landing page template. You can use HTML snippets to add prepared HTML content to zones defined in HTML email and landing pages. You can also add HTML snippets by reference with the <UAEreferenceLabel> tag.

Using HTML snippets gives the communication designer great flexibility to vary the content and structure of an email or landing page communication. Snippets provide a way to quickly add rich content to a communication. To control the appearance and behavior of a snippet, you can define any standard HTML attribute in the snippet code. The appearance of the snippet in a communication depends on the attributes defined in the snippet code, not the attributes defined in the template.

Snippets can contain images, text blocks, and personalization fields. Snippets can also contain references to images, text, and other snippets. However, snippets cannot contain zones.

Snippets are not intended for use as email or landing page templates. Do not select the Is Template option for HTML content that is used as a snippet.
