Pasting an image

Add an image to an entry in an IBM® Connections application.

About this task

You can add any image file format that is supported by your browser. The most widely supported image formats are BMP, GIF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, and RAW.

Pasting or dragging and dropping an image is supported only in Activities, Blogs, Forums, and Wikis. In other applications, it is not possible to paste an image; instead you must insert the image by specifying a URL or attaching a file.

Note: You can paste images only into rich text fields (fields that contain a toolbar); you cannot paste images into a plain text field, such as a comment about a wiki page.

Procedure

Create or edit an entry in an IBM Connections application.
In the rich text field, place the cursor where you want the image to be displayed.
Add an image by using one of the following methods:
- Paste an image that you copied to your clipboard.
- Drag an image file from your local file system or drag an image from a webpage.
Save the entry.
