HCL Commerce Version 9.1.5.0 or later

HCL Digital Experience LDAP integration

It is recommended that HCL Digital Experience be deployed using an LDAP solution (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) for user authentication such as the one provided with your HCL Commerce license. For more information, see Configuring directory services (LDAP) with HCL Commerce.

Single sign-on using LDAP

If you are using HCL Commerce version 9.1.5.0 or above, you can use LDAP to configure single sign-on for HCL Commerce and HCL Digital Experience. For more information, see Configuring single sign-on.
HCL Commerce Version 9.1.4.0Restriction: Single sign-on using LDAP is not available with HCL Commerce 9.1.4.0.
  • In HCL Commerce 9.1.4.0, the HCL Commerce deployment does not provide LDAP support. Therefore, users in HCL Commerce and HCL Digital Experience are required to be created separately on each product with separate user names and passwords. When the Management Center integration is used to launch HCL Digital Experience Content Composer or Digital Asset Management, users must log in to HCL Digital Experience separately with the HCL Digital Experience user name and password.
  • Single sign-on for HCL Commerce and HCL Digital Experience is not enabled in v9.1.4. If a 401 error occurs when you open HCL Digital Experience or select content from the Content Composer tool, the HCL Digital Experience session has been invalidated. Close the pop-up window and log in to HCL Digital Experience from a new browser tab. Go back to Management Center and launch HCL Digital Experience again.
