The integration between HCL Commerce and Sterling Order Management combines the industry-leading front-end capabilities of HCL Commerce with the proven, back-end order and inventory management features of Sterling Order Management.

You integrate Sterling Order Management with HCL Commerce by using Direct Integration. With Direct Integration, the functions to convert message content and format are performed by services in the Sterling Order Management Service Definition Framework (SDF). The SDF comprises a set of components that you can connect and use to build out integration with external systems.
