Uninstalling WebSphere Commerce Developer maintenance packages (interactive method)

You can uninstall WebSphere Commerce Developer maintenance packages by using the IBM Installation Manager that you used to install WebSphere Commerce Developer.

Before you begin

  • If you changed your database type after you installed a maintenance package, change the database back to the original type before you uninstall the maintenance package.

Procedure

  1. Open the IBM Installation Manager.
  2. Select an appropriate option:
    OptionDescription
    Uninstall
    • If you installed WebSphere Commerce Developer and a maintenance package at the same time, this option removes both the maintenance package and WebSphere Commerce Developer.
    • If you installed a maintenance package after you installed WebSphere Commerce Developer, use the Roll Back option.
Roll Back Roll back reverses updates. If you used the Update option to apply a maintenance package to an existing WebSphere Commerce development environment, then use this option to uninstall the maintenance package. The WebSphere Commerce development environment is not uninstalled. If the IBM Installation Manager does not have the files that are needed to roll back, the Installation Manager repositories list needs the location of the media image of the previous version. 2. Select Roll Back.
    3. On the Roll Back Packages page, choose the WebSphere Commerce Developer package group that contains the maintenance package that you want to roll back from.
    4. Click Next.
    5. Select the maintenance package version that you want to roll back to and click Next. Review the summary information that is presented on the page.
    6. Click Roll Back.
  3. On the Uninstall Packages page, select the maintenance package that you want to uninstall and click Next.
