About this task

You can set the number of spaces in a tab character.

Procedure

Click Tools > Options.
In the Options window, click Display.
In the Number of Spaces Per Tab area, click the down arrow and select the number of spaces you want each tab character to represent.

Results

Changes made to this option are saved when you exit Diff Merge.
