About this task

If you do not want to check in your changes or you want to start with fresh copy, you can cancel (undo) a checkout using the command line:

cleartool uncheckout path

On Windows systems only, you can also cancel (undo) a checkout from HCL VersionVault Windows Explorer or Windows Explorer:

Procedure

From VersionVault Windows Explorer or Windows Explorer, right-click the file or directory.
On the HCL VersionVault shortcut menu, click Undo Checkout. The Confirm undo checkout window opens. Select or clear Save copy of the file with a '.keep' extension.
Click Yes.
