Create and design an In-App rich push communication

You can use the various options under the Content pane to design rich push notifications.

Perform the following steps.

  1. Under Communication tab, in the New list, select In-App Push. A frame displays.
  2. Under Toolbox, choose the avaiable boxes and perform the following substeps to design the push communication.
    1. Under Frame, you can complete the following settings.
      1. In the Frame Size list, select the appropriate size of the frame from one of the options, Large, Medium, or Small.
        Note:

        Push notification in small frame type is displayed in final notification if there is less content in In-App communication. If there is more content and frame type is selected as small, still the final notification is displayed in medium frame type.

      2. In the Vertical Alignment list, select either top or center to set the alignment of the frame.
      3. In the Close Button Position list, select either Top Left, Top Right, or None to set the position of the Close button.
        Note: The value selected for the Close button position will only be in impact if there is atleast one button tool used with close message enabled in the In-App push communication, else close button position value will always be top right.
    2. Under Colors, you can set the color of the frame in the background and foreground of the frame.i
      1. In the Background field, you can set the color of the background of the frame.
      2. In the Foreground field, you can set the color of the foreground of the frame.
    3. Under Image, click Browse to upload the image from the Content Picker and add to frame. You can upload the images from both Deliver and external repositories. You can also specify the public location of the image under Source.
    4. Under Video, click Browse to upload the video from the Content Picker and add to frame. You can upload the video from both Deliver and external repositories.You can also specify the public location of the video under Source.
    5. Under Gradient, click Add Gradient to choose an appropriate gradient for a specific color.
    6. Heading: Select Heading, drag, and drop it into the push frame. Type the text that you want to display.

      You can use the following options, like bold, italics, and underline, if you select the Heading text. In the right pane, under Heading, you can apply the various formatting options available.

      1. Under the Alignment list, choose the appropriate alignment of the heading.
      2. Under the Font Family, choose the required font for the heading.
      3. In the Color pallete box, click the Edit icon to select the required color for the heading. You can also use HTML hex codes to apply the required color.
      4. In the Size list, select the required font size.
      5. Under Spacing, you can get the required indentation under Top, Right, Bottom, Left.
    7. Subheading: Select Subheading, drag, and drop it into the push frame. Type the text that you want to display. By default, it has a smaller font size as compared to the heading.

      You can also the following options, , if you select the Subheading text. In the right pane, under Subheading, you can apply the various formatting options available.

    8. Text: Select Text, drag, and drop it into the push frame. It adds a text box to the frame. You can type the text to be displayed. You can apply the similar formatting options that are available for Heading and Subheading.
    9. Image: Select Image, drag, and drop it into the push frame. It adds an image box to the frame.
      1. In the right pane, under Image, under Source, you can specify the public URL of the image to display the image in the push frame.
      2. Alternately, click Browse, to select the required image under the Content Picker, where images are uploaded from the Content Library to display in the push frame.
      3. You use the various formatting options available for the image.
    10. Button: Select Button, drag, and drop it into the push frame. It adds a box to the frame. Type the text for the button.
      Note: The value selected for the Close button position will only be in impact if there is atleast one button tool used with close message enabled in the In-App push communication, else close button position value will always be top right.
      1. Under Settings, you can set the alignment, width, shape, elevation, background color, border color, and size of the button.
      2. Under Actions, you can define various actions for the newly added button.
        1. Click Configure Actions.
        2. Under Track conversion event, you can specify the events that you want to track and accordingly align the responses for events.
        3. In the Action list, you can select one of the three actions:
          1. Deep Link: Specify the JSON so that it naviagtes you to the particular page of the application that you have installed on your mobile on clicking the button.
          2. Landing Page: Under Select Landing Page, click Browse to select the landing page designed in the Quick Builder so that it opens on clicking the button.
          3. Open URL: Under URL, specify any valid URL to navigate after clicking the button.
        4. Click Save.
      3. Under Text, you can choose the alignment, font, color, and font size of the button text.
      4. Under Spacing, you can set the spacing of the button from top, right, bottom, and left.
    11. Video: Select Video, drag, and drop it into the push frame. It adds a box to the frame.
      Note:

      Ensure that you format the video as per the codec required by a device so that they can play. The general requirements are h264 encoding.It is recommended that you first test the video is running on test device before sending to the users. Only MP4 / H264 videos are supported for In-App Push notifications, youtube videos public links are not supported.

      1. In the right pane, under Video, under Source, you can specify the public URL of the image to display the image in the push frame.
      2. Alternately, click Browse, to select the required video under the Content Picker, where images are uploaded from the Content Library to display in the push frame.
      3. Enable Autoplay to upload the video in the autoplay mode.
      4. Enable Loop to loop the video.
      5. You can use the various formatting options available for the image.
  3. Click Save & Publish.
