An IBM® Sametime® deployment is made of up several component servers that can be started and stopped independently.
Starting and stopping a Sametime Community Server while Domino® is running
The HCL® Sametime® Community Server is configured as a set of services that start and stop automatically when the HCL Domino® server is stopped or started. You can also start and stop the Sametime Community Server while leaving the Domino server running.
Starting and stopping both Domino® and the Sametime® Community Server
Start and stop both the IBM® Domino® server and the IBM Sametime® Community Server. The Community Server is hosted on the Domino server.

Procedure

Return to the terminal session where Domino® was started.
If the prompt character > is not present, press the Enter key once to be presented with a prompt character.
Type either exit or quit and press the Enter key.
