Using HCL Docs
HCL Connections™ Docs is a new office productivity suite for working on documents, spreadsheets and presentations together. It provides real-time co-editing, allowing users to work on documents individually or collaboratively. Comment on a document, or even participate in a discussion. All this without the need of desktop software.

  - Publishing a version of a file
    In order for readers to see a draft created in HCL Connections Docs, or edits made in Docs, a new version of the file must be published. As of August 2015, if a file is being created or edited in Docs for the first time, publishing is set to occur automatically. If a file was previously created or edited in Docs, you must either enable the Publish Automatically command in that file, or publish each new version manually.
  - What if I have a file conflict?
    A person can decide to upload a new version of a file while another person is editing the file online or has saved an online file that is not yet published. The new uploaded version is stored in Files as its own version number, and you are warned of the conflict the next time you try to edit the file from the Files list.
  - Reverting to last version
    When you are editing in HCL Connections™ Docs, if you are not satisfied with the current version of your document, you can revert to the last version that was published. You can choose to save or discard your current edits before you revert to the last version of a document.

    You can view an uploaded document, spreadsheet, presentation, or PDF file while you are working in Files.

        Pie charts
        You can use a pie chart to show the relationship of parts to the whole. Data in columns or rows on a sheet can be transformed into a pie chart.
        Area charts
        You can use area charts to emphasize the magnitude of change over time and the total value across a trend. You can also use area charts to show the relationship of parts to a whole. Data in columns or rows on a sheet can be transformed into an area chart.
        Line charts
        You can use line charts to display continuous data over a period of time at a common scale. Therefore, line charts are ideal for showing data trends at equal intervals. Data in columns or rows on a sheet can be transformed into a line chart.
        Scatter charts
        You can use scatter charts to show the relationships among the numeric values in several data series, or display two groups of numbers as one series of xy coordinates. Data in columns or rows on a sheet can be transformed into a scatter chart.

Chart types in spreadsheets

When you want to show comparisons and trends in a series of data, you can create charts in spreadsheets.

Charts are a great way to communicate numeric data graphically. A chart makes it easy to see trends and to make comparisons. To show data in a clear way, you can insert charts in spreadsheets. HCL Connections™ Docs spreadsheets support many types of charts, including column charts, bar charts, pie charts, area charts, line charts and scatter charts.

Examples

You can create a line chart to show the trends in data at specific intervals. You can also create a column chart to show seasonal sales volume in different regions.
