IBM Management Center for WebSphere Commerce
The IBM Management Center for WebSphere Commerce, or Management Center, is a suite of tools to support store management, merchandising, and marketing tasks for business users (Sellers, Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Catalog Managers, and others).
Catalogs tool
Use the Catalogs tool in Management Center to manage catalogs, categories, catalog entries, merchandising associations, product attributes, and attachments in your store. The Catalogs tool lets business users create, and manage online catalogs. Catalogs provide a way of organizing the products that you want to sell. You define catalog data in groups of categories and products. Catalog data contains descriptions and pricing information for products and services.
Managing kits
The Category Manager or Product Manager can organize kits in the catalog hierarchy, and create and change kits to determine the best way to sell them in the store.
Creating predefined dynamic kits
A predefined dynamic kit contains a preconfiguration of the components in a dynamic kit. For example, you can configure a specific processor, hard drive, and monitor in the predefined dynamic kit for a computer dynamic kit.
Viewing predefined dynamic kits
You might want to view a list of predefined dynamic kits that are associated with a dynamic kit.

        Bundles and kits
        Bundles and kits are groupings of catalog entries. Used for promotional purposes, the catalog entries in bundles and kits are grouped in such a way to attract customers.
        Creating static kits and prebuilt kits
        You can create a kit to attract customers. Kits are groupings of catalog entries that can be used when you are creating promotions.
        Changing static kits and prebuilt kits
        You can change a kit if any of the components of the kit change.
        Creating dynamic kits
        You create a dynamic kit by adding components to the kit or using Sterling Configurator to associate a model to the kit.

        A predefined dynamic kit contains a preconfiguration of the components in a dynamic kit. For example, you can configure a specific processor, hard drive, and monitor in the predefined dynamic kit for a computer dynamic kit.

        Deleting kits
        You can delete static kits, prebuilt kits, dynamic kits, and predefined dynamic kits. For example, you can delete a kit if you are no longer offering one or any of the SKUs included in the kit for sale.

        The Category Manager or Product Manager can organize bundles in the catalog hierarchy, and create and change bundles to determine the best way to sell them in the store.

        A catalog asset is a managed file, URL, or attachment that is associated to a category or catalog entry. For example, a product image or a PDF document. The usage type of the catalog asset determines the store page on which the asset is displayed, and the location on the page.

        You can manage external content coming from Watson Content Hub in the Catalogs tool.

        The Product Manager is responsible for creating and managing search term associations. Search term associations include synonyms and search term replacements, and linking search terms with landing pages.

        By reviewing site search statistics, you learn what customers are intending to find on your web site when they enter keywords in the search field. You can then make targeted improvements to optimize your site search, improve your site navigation, and ultimately increase conversions. Viewing predefined dynamic kits

You might want to view a list of predefined dynamic kits that are associated with a dynamic kit.

Procedure

Open the Catalogs tool.
From the explorer filter, select Master Catalog.
In the explorer view, click the category that the dynamic kit belongs to. See Finding a catalog entry for an example.
In the explorer view, you can perform one of the following actions.
- Click the dynamic kit.
- Right-click the dynamic kit and click Show Predefined Dynamic Kit.
The list view displays the list of predefined dynamic kits that are associated with the dynamic kit.
